Additional deposits and monthly pet fees apply to all pet-approved properties and are clearly marked throughout the website. If our staff is helping you search, please let them know about your pet so they can recommend the best rentals.
We have partnered with a Pet Screening company to help manage our tenant’s pets and to ensure adherence to our pet policies. There is a non-refundable $20 application screening fee for the first pet, $15 for the second pet, and $0 for assistance/service animals.

Pet Criteria
Missoula Property Management has numerous pet-friendly rentals; however, the pet policy can vary depending on the type of dwelling. Please review our criteria to ensure your pet meets our policies. MPM reserves the right to deny a pet if they do not meet our criteria and will not refund an application fee due to the failure of the applicant to ensure the pet(s) meets regulations beforehand.
I. AMOUNTS OF ADDITIONAL PET DEPOSIT AND PET RENT
• 1 pet – $500 deposit and an additional $50 per month*
• 2 pets (select properties only) -*please inquire with MPM for additional costs.
II. PET CRITERIA DEPENDING ON DWELLING TYPE
Our pet-friendly apartment complexes allow for 1 pet only. The pet must adhere to the following criteria to be eligible:
1. 25 lbs. or under fully grown
2. At least 6 months of age
3. Current immunization records
4. Not an aggressive breed
EXCEPTIONS/LIMITATIONS:
• Select properties do allow for 2 pets, with varying weight restrictions. The criteria numbered 2-4 above is still applicable in these cases. Please review advertising on specific properties for details or contact our office for further information.
• Some properties may only accept one type of pet, for instance, “dogs only” or “cats only”.
• “No pet” properties are strictly enforced as such, and no exceptions are made.
III. PET RESIDENCY IN THE UNIT
Before the pet may reside in the dwelling, we must have the following:
1. Valid immunization records
2. Pet application completed via PetScreening and approved.
3. Signed pet agreement (see below)
4. Additional deposit and pet rent paid
Pets that are brought onto the premises before all these items are provided are considered unauthorized. They are subject to removal and a violation fee.
*Due to Fair Housing regulations, we must enforce these policies with each person and no exceptions can be made. We may require vet records prior to approval to help verify the accuracy of information provided by the applicant.
